After a period of uncertainty, Terraria is back in production on Google Stadia.
Earlier in February, co-creator of Terraria, Andrew Spinks, announced that his studio Re-Logic would drop a Google Stadia port. But the developer announced again that the Stadia port is presently back in development.
Re-Logic explained through a forum post that, as you may have noticed, they had a huge load of issues to kick off the year starting from the locking-down of Redigit’s whole Google account toward the beginning of January. Also added that following a month of pushing their fans, Google finally reached out and had the option to give a lot of transparency around the circumstance and to restore access to all of our accounts.
Harrison explained that they launched Stadia with the objective of making players favorite games instantly available wherever they want to play, and with the recent successful Cyberpunk 2077’s launch on Stadia, gameplay on all types of devices, including iOS, developing their YouTube integrations’ slate, and worldwide expansions, it’s clear that Stadia’s proven technology works at scale.
Further, he clarified that the future of this industry is having games streamed to any screen, and they’ll continue to invest in Stadia and its underlying platform to give the best cloud gaming experience for the gaming community and partners, and it has been the Stadia’s vision since the start.
On February 8th, Spinks shot a series of tweets expressing disappointment that he was locked out of his Google accounts for weeks, which involved losing his Google Play account and Gmail access. At first, Spinks noted he lost his around January 16th his account’s access.
Re-Logic presently doesn’t seem to announce when will Terraria release on Google Stadia, but the game being back in development is great news Google’s cloud gaming service’s for fans. Two reports on Friday shed light on some of the failures in creating Stadia.
